Delivering a lasting legacy for Regional NSW

Projects with purpose drive us

Public Works Advisory (PWA) is the delivery powerhouse behind some of NSW’s  most crucial projects. There’s nothing abstract about what we do. Just look around. Our work is in the hospitals, dams, water treatment plants and high schools – the real foundations of prosperous communities.

In PWA offices all over the state, you’ll find local expertise for local issues. We uncover the best talent, scrutinise cost and risk, and bridge the gap between private sector and government. Bringing passion and focus to everything we do, the projects we work on don’t just get done, they become benchmarks others aspire to.

Local people delivering local solutions for a stronger NSW

Greg Hill, General Manager, Central Darling Shire Council

"PWA and Central Darling Shire have had a productive and positive relationship for many years. Their support on several civil engineering projects in Wilcannia and surrounding villages has been invaluable."

Why Choose Us

NSW bushfire recovery clean-up

The NSW and Commonwealth Governments are jointly covering the clean-up costs of residential and eligible commercial properties destroyed in the NSW bushfires since 1 July 2019.

Laing O’Rourke Australia was appointed in late January 2020 as the managing contractor, responsible for leading the clean-up of properties across NSW, working with Public Works Advisory. Qualified local contractors and suppliers were engaged, where possible, to deliver clean-up services to ensure the clean-up operation maximises local knowledge and expertise and assists local economic recovery.

From end July 2020, Public Works Advisory has taken on the management of any new registrations, in addition to a small number of isolated properties in challenging locations, to ensure that no one is left behind. For more information click here. Registrations remain open and impacted property owners who would like their property cleared can still register at Service NSW or call 13 77 88. Registering helps deploy resources to communities and enables owners to provide consent for crews to undertake work on their property
